Track 1: Pediatrics Obesity

Childhood obesity is a serious and concerned medical condition that affects children and adolescents. Obesity is the most prominent nutritional disorder among children and adolescents in the world. Approximately 20-24% of American children and adolescents are overweight, and another 19-20% is obese; the growth of obesity is highest among specific child groups. Childhood obesity predisposes to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, liver and renal disease, and reproductive dysfunction. This condition also specifically increases the risk of adult-onset obesity and cardiovascular disease and other related diseases and is particularly troubling because the extra pounds often start children and lead the path to health problems that were once considered adult problems like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Track 2: Pediatrics HIV Infection

HIV is a virus that generally targets and disrupts the immune system, increasing the risk and high impact of other infections and diseases in our body. Without proper treatment, the infection might progress to a very advanced disease stage called AIDS. Since the initial first cases of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection was identified, the number of children (infants) infected with HIV has risen even dramatically in underdeveloped and developing countries, the result of an immense increased number of HIV-infected women of childbearing age in these areas and locality. HIV infection mostly occurs before birth, during delivery, or after birth also and generally be transmitted vertically, sexually, or via contaminated blood products or IV drug abuse.

Pediatric Emergency Medicine usually focuses on the care of the acutely ill or injured child in a special emergency department. Pediatric emergency medicine is nowadays evolving into a more clearly described area of the medical care field. The historical development and upcoming future challenges of this subspecialty are discussed. In addition, emergency care for children is mainly reviewed closely, citing differences in the pediatric populations seen in pediatric emergency departments and other general emergency departments.

Pediatricians are doctors who used to manage the health of your child, including their physical, behavior, and mental health issues. They’re well trained to diagnose the early diseases and treat childhood illnesses, from minor health problems to some serious diseases. The main aim of the study of pediatrics is to reduce infant and related child rate of deaths, control the spread of serious infectious disease, and promote healthy lifestyles for a disease free life and help to remove the problems of children and infants. The most vital and remarkable problems can be due to nutritional insufficiency to entire health of infants and children because growth and developments can be seriously deprived by shortages in essential vitamins and nutrients.

Track 5: Neonatology & Perinatology

Neonatology is generally a special field of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, baby, especially the ill or premature newborn with any diseases. It is a hospital based specialty, and is generally practiced in neonatal intensive care units i.e (NICUs)Neonatologists are child doctor’s work mainly in the special care nurseries or newborn baby intensive care units of hospitals. In many cases, after a new-born has been discharged from the unit, a neonatologist usually provide short term routine follow up care on an outpatient basis.

Perinatology is generally a special field of obstetrics concerned with the care of the fetus and complicated, high-risk pregnancies in women. Perinatology is also well known as maternal fetal medicine. The maternal fetal medicine doctors typically works in consultation with the obstetrician.

Pediatric nephrology is the study of various diseases related to child kidney whereas nephrologists generally diagnose, treat, and manage many disorders affecting the kidney and urinary tract of infants, including kidney failure, high blood pressure, kidney stones, inherited kidney diseases, urinary tract infections, and other abnormalities in the urine like blood and protein. They also diagnose how to evaluate and treat problems related with growth and development that are basically related to chronic kidney disease.

Pediatric Cardiology is a specialty that addresses various heart conditions in babies including unborn babies, infants and children.
